How to Sync SharePoint Folders to File Explorer in Windows

Step 1: Open SharePoint Library

  1. Go to your Microsoft 365 SharePoint site in a web browser.

  2. Navigate to the document library or folder you want to sync (e.g. Documents).

Step 2: Start Sync

  1. At the top menu of the library, click on the Sync button.

  2. If prompted, allow your browser to open Microsoft OneDrive.

Step 3: Sign In (if required)

  • If you’re not already signed in, enter your Microsoft 365 email and password.

Step 4: OneDrive Sync Starts

  • OneDrive will begin syncing your SharePoint files automatically.

Step 5: Access Files in File Explorer

  1. Open File Explorer on your computer.

  2. On the left-hand side, you’ll now see a section with your company or SharePoint library name.

  3. Your SharePoint folders and files will appear there.
