How To Enable Spell Check for Google Chrome

You can enable spell check within Google Chrome by using an extension called Grammarly and then turning it on by:


  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Scroll all the way down and click on Advanced Settings.

  3. Navigate to Privacy, find out “Use a web service to help resolve spelling errors”.

  4. Turn on the feature by tapping on the slider. The slider will turn blue when the spelling checker is turned on.




Please note, if your Chrome version is V70 or higher, the Spell Check option might be located under Privacy section.
